Dr. Jimmy Mey

Founder & Lead Practitioner

Dr. Jimmy Mey

DAcHM, L.Ac.

Dr. Jimmy Mey is the founder and lead practitioner of East-West Integrative Medicine. His clinical background combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and integrative health with more than 20 years of experience in health, fitness, exercise, and human movement. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals across a wide range of ages and abilities, from everyday patients seeking to improve their health and mobility to collegiate and Olympic-level athletes pursuing higher levels of performance and recovery.

Dr. Mey has also completed specialized training in Integrative Acupuncture Care through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), further expanding his understanding of how acupuncture can be thoughtfully incorporated into multidisciplinary, patient-centered healthcare. This training complements his broader philosophy of bridging traditional Chinese medicine with contemporary clinical knowledge and evidence-informed care.

His extensive background in movement and physical performance gives Dr. Mey a unique perspective in the treatment of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Rather than looking only at the location of pain, he evaluates how structure, movement, muscular function, lifestyle, and underlying patterns of health may be contributing to a patient's condition. He integrates acupuncture, Chinese medicine, exercise and movement principles, nutrition, and modern health science to develop individualized strategies aimed at reducing pain, restoring function, and supporting long-term health.

Dr. Mey's approach is grounded in the belief that the most effective healthcare should not be limited by the boundaries of a single medical tradition. Traditional Chinese Medicine offers centuries of clinical knowledge, while modern medicine, exercise science, nutrition, and contemporary research provide additional ways to understand the human body. His goal is to thoughtfully bring these perspectives together rather than choosing one over another.

This philosophy is the foundation of East-West Integrative Medicine: treating the individual as a whole and drawing from both traditional and modern knowledge to provide thoughtful, practical, and personalized care.
